For this year's Black Friday, consoles and bundles for the Xbox One received $50 discounts, which is an offer that allowed Microsoft's video game console to outperform Sony's PlayStation 4 over the annual shopping holiday.
It seems that Microsoft is looking to continue that momentum well into December, as the company has announced that it will once again be applying the same $50 discount on all Xbox One consoles and bundles.
$50 Off For Xbox One
The $50 discount that Microsoft announced will be applied to all Xbox One consoles, including the Xbox One S, and it will be available for customers to take advantage of until Dec. 24.
Among the bundles that are available for the Xbox One are the Xbox One S Battlefield 1 Bundle for just $249, which includes a 500 GB console, a digital copy of Battlefield 1 and a one-month subscription to EA Access. Another available bundle for $249 is the Xbox One S Minecraft Favorites Bundle, which includes a 500 GB console, a digital copy of Minecraft and 13 content packs. Previously, these bundles were sold for $299.
There is also the Xbox One S Gears of War 4 Bundle, which includes a 1 TB console and a digital copy of Gears of War 4 for $299, previously priced at $349.
The deals are available through the Microsoft Store and through participating retailers in the United States, including Amazon, Best Buy, Target and GameStop.
Microsoft's 12 Days Of Deals
The $50 discount for all Xbox One consoles and bundles is separate from Microsoft's current holiday promotion, known as the 12 Days of Deals.
In 12 Days of Deals, Microsoft offers discounts on various items, with the promotion launching on Dec. 5. Xbox One offers under the 12 Days of Deals have passed though, as Microsoft pegged Dec. 12 for the video game console under the promotion.
Microsoft is only offering the 12 Days of Deals in the Microsoft Store though, so the current holiday offer for the Xbox One will have a wider reach.
Xbox One Vs. PlayStation 4
Sony recently relaunched the special price for the PlayStation 4 Slim Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Bundle, dropping the price from $299 to $249. The offer, like Microsoft's promotion, runs until Dec. 24.
Sony and Microsoft will continue to be locked in battle in the video game industry for years to come, though analysts recently predicted that sales for the PlayStation 4 will trump those of the Xbox One for this year's holiday season.
