The most recent mainline entries in the Pokémon series are the just-released Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, and while both newcomers and veterans already know what's largely in store because of the recent data mine, there's still plenty of nooks and crannies to chart, and one of this is Ash-Greninja.
Players were able to play a demo version of the games a month ago, with the embattled Greninja as a default Pokémon, which was promised to be transferable from the demo version to the full games once released.
If you're one of those who have completed the demo and have been impatiently waiting for the full games to arrive, here's a handy guide explaining how to transfer Ash-Greninja to the full game.
How To Transfer Ash-Greninja To Pokémon Sun And Moon
Firstly, you must download the special demo of Pokémon Sun and Moon from the Nintendo eShop. Needless to say that you must complete the main story mode, otherwise Greninja won't assume its Ash form since it requires you to finish the trials before it can listen to any of your commands.
Obviously, you must also have a copy of the full game and create a save data.
You can then head back to the demo version. Assuming you've completed all the tasks required in the special demo, head over to the Pokémon Center and talk to Professor Kukui. He will ask what you want to transfer. You can opt to transfer Ash-Greninja along with items you've successfully collected while on the island.
How To Unlock Ash-Greninja In The Full Game
Once you've completed the transfer process in the special demo version, switch to the full game on your 3DS. Keep in mind that if you have both the cartridge and digital versions of either Pokémon Sun or Moon, your Ash-Greninja and other items will be routed to the cartridge version.
Play Pokémon Sun and Moon far enough to a point where you've reached your first Pokémon Center. A guy wearing a striped shirt should be inside. Reserve an empty spot in your party and talk to the guy. He will give you your Ash-Greninja alongside other items you have transferred from the demo, if any.
You have now successfully received your Level 36 Ash-Greninja, but you need to wait a while before you can use it. You can still send it out in battles, but it may not obey you at times. You need to advance through the game in order for higher-level Pokémon to follow your commands, which has been always the case in all Pokémon games.
