‘LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ First DLC Level Pack Launches About How Poe Dameron Survived on Jakku

Fans of The Force Awakens are finally getting more insight into Poe Dameron's survival story thanks to the latest DLC to be released for players of LEGO Star Wars.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced the launch of its first Level Pack available to download for LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Season Pass holders on Wednesday, Oct. 5.

Called "Poe's Quest for Survival," the Level Pack tells the untold story of what happened when Poe was deserted on Jakku after surviving the TIE Fighter crash.

From the film, we know that he is able to help the Resistance battle the First Order, but the DLC finally explores the backstory about what really happened and how he got off Jakku.

"Fans can now experience Poe Dameron's journey back to the Resistance base after his daring escape from the First Order. While stranded on Jakku, Poe must locate a ship to get off the desert planet in an effort to find his way home," the description for the DLC video reads.

Voiced by Oscar Isaac in the game, the Level Pack starts with the crash that leaves the pilot and Finn on the planet. While Finn assumes Poe is dead in the film, the game reveals that he instead finds a character named Naka Iit who helps Poe on his quest - with his mission being to locate a ship to help him return back to the Resistance.

Playable characters and vehicles include: Naka Iit, Ohn Gos, Poe Dameron (Jakku), Strus Clan Leader, Strus Clan Raider, Strus Clan Speeder (Full-size Vehicle) and Strus Clan Speeder (Microfighter Vehicle).

While there is lots of action, there is also lots of humor that the LEGO universe is known for.

While Star Wars fans get to find out more about how Poe survived on Jakku, this isn't the first time the Force Awakens story has been extended. Warner Bros. and TT Games previously released a free DLC pack back in August that let gamers find out the origin of C-3PO's red arm.

The DLC pack can be purchased as a stand-alone for $2.99, or players can get it as part of the Season Pass that includes other content such as two other Level Packs that have yet to be released and five character packs for $10.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is available now on PS4, PS3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, Nintendo 3D and PC.

Those who purchase the LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Deluxe Edition for PS4 and Xbox One get both the main game and the Season Pass.
