Rockstar Games continues to update Grand Theft Auto V's multiplayer world of GTA Online, and the game's next update can't come soon enough. Called the Bikers update, it will allow players to form their own biker gangs (along with everything that entails).
A new post on the official Rockstar Games website spills all the details. Players will be able to form "Motorcycle Clubs" of up to eight players. Here's some of what fans can expect in the update:
"Bikers will introduce new roles to play from fresh Prospects to club Presidents with a massive slate of new competitive and co-op gameplay, along with a range of new motorcycles, properties that include MC Clubhouses with a special custom Biker mechanic, and venues for seedy business ventures," Rockstar writes. "Beyond a range of opportunities to climb the ranks within a gang and build lucrative businesses as a formidable MC, Bikers also includes a selection of appropriately-themed new modes for bikers of all kinds, along with new weapons, styles, tattoos and features to make this a huge addition to the world of GTA Online."
Sounds like players can expect plenty of new game modes and vehicles to collect, though Rockstar isn't going into specifics just yet. Expect more details on the Biker update soon. Rockstar isn't saying exactly when it will arrive, but it sounds like it's just around the corner.
Looking back on GTA Online, it's a little insane just how frequently the game is updated. In 2016 alone, the mode has received two major updates in the form of "Further Adventures in Finance and Felony" as well as "Cunning Stunts." Rockstar also added new adversary modes like Power Play and Trading Places, and that's without even mentioning the various in-game bonuses and events that happen every weekend in the game's world of Los Santos.
Rockstar Games is showing no signs of slowing down when it comes to new GTA Online content. After all, why would they when the game's online component continues to bring in millions of dollars more than two years after release? Perhaps, then, it isn't surprising that the Biker update looks to be one of the most exciting additions to the game yet. This isn't the first time Rockstar has explored the world of bikers, either. An expansion for GTA IV titled The Lost and the Damned also focused on a crew of criminal motorcyclists.
