Dishonored 2 stays true to the prequel, allowing players to choose either a violent path or a peaceful one — and perhaps one that's somewhere in between. Now, the latest gameplay video is all about a brutal rampage, and that means it showcases a ton of awesome powers from the Outsider.
Of course, the action-packed clip is courtesy of none other than Bethesda, and the developer revealed it during Gamescom 2016.
The footage features Emily Kaldwin, and it demonstrates how she and her father Corvo Attano can take down enemies and annihilate them, both human footmen and Clockwork Soldiers.
With a crossbow, gun and blade at hand plus the mark of the Outsider, the empress didn't have much trouble with the guards of flesh and blood, not to mention how she can easily rip them apart — literally. However, she had to take some time repeatedly striking the mechanical sentries to eliminate them, as they didn't go down even after she cut their heads off.
Going over the place where all the magic happens, it's called the Clockwork Mansion, and it appears to be the developers' favorite location to exhibit the game. That probably shouldn't come as much of a surprise, though, as it's a really interesting house where the floors, walls and whatnot move via a clever set of switches and gears. Needless to say, it's sort of like the perfect playground for an assassin.
"[T]he Clockwork Mansion is a signature themed level in which the player can trigger a series of switches to literally change the mansion around them. The walls move. The floors shift. New pathways are revealed with every alteration. Savvy assassins can even find their way through the mechanics embedded behind the walls, offering even more freedom to navigate through this complex and detailed level," Bethesda says.
To get a better look at how the place alters itself, take a peek at the announcement trailer revealed last year at E3 2015, as it takes a closer perspective at things.
As for the release date, Dishonored 2 is expected to go official on Nov. 11 for the PC, Xbox One and PS4. That means there are only a few months to go before fans everywhere can start wreaking havoc or approach matters stealthily in Dunwall.

In other related news, Bethesda made sure that the complaints about the first game in the series didn't fall on deaf ears, as Dishonored 2 is going to be a whole deal longer in comparison. To be exact, it's believed to be at least two times lengthier, according to the creative director of Arkane Studios Harvey Smith.
