Bethesda just can't seem to reign in its people on Twitch as another leak has been discovered on the gaming video site.
Last year, Bethesda's official announcement of the second installment in its Dishonored franchise was leaked on Twitch, revealing the company's E3 2015 rehearsal. The video, while promptly taken down by the company, caused much excitement from fans as Dishonored 2 was not expected to be released so soon.
This year, hours away from Bethesda's attendance in E3 2016, a supposed new Dishonored 2 gameplay video surfaced on its Twitch channel but has been taken down shortly after, leading others to believe the official Bethesda press release has been leaked before its supposed planned presentation in EA's E3 2016 panel.
The Dishonored 2 gameplay trailer features 30 seconds of supposed in-game content, not really revealing that much to form general ideas about how the narrative will play. The video itself is pretty scattered, which could be confusing to players unacquainted with the game. For others who have played the original title, thankfully, this means there are no readily apparent and conclusive spoilers.
We do, however, know that developers have planned only to include in-game content in its Dishonored 2 teasers, so we can go as far as to assume that the clips featured in this leak will appear inside the game.
The trailer opens with wide shots of Dishonored 2's new setting, Karnaca, showcasing areas from the land and sea, after which a clip of an execution on the streets plays. The video then abruptly cuts to a woman with red hair entering what seems to be a gathering hall, before going into the first-person view. This may very well be Emily Kaldwin's point of view (POV) as the short scenes that play after showcase her character's supposed attainment of the Mark.
These series of clips reveal Emily falling from a great height into The Void, getting caught by none other than the Outsider. The Outsider appears to have aged thanks to improved HD gameplay graphics. Cutscenes from gameplay battles then play successively before the Dishonored 2 title appears in the last 4 seconds.
Of course, words can only go so far in describing the 30-second Dishonored 2 gameplay teaser before limitations of one's imaginative capacities are met. Luckily, someone on NeoGAF had the smarts to reupload the video through another link before it was taken down by the company.
Hurry, though, the teaser might disappear again once Bethesda gets word of its existence.
Dishonored 2 is set for launch on Nov. 11, 2016.
