Apple is preparing to counter Samsung and its Galaxy Note 7 and Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. A new video of what is reportedly the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus shows the smartphones in action with Lightning EarPods, while another video shows a new blue color option, and another report claims the 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus will ship with 3 GB of RAM.
It certainly has been a busy few weeks in the smartphone world, with several of the biggest players not only debuting new handsets, but in Apple and Google's case, delivering major new version of iOS 10 and Android 7.0 Nougat in tandem with the release of iOS 10 in September and Google's rumored release is said to take place in August.
Samsung just delivered its most advanced and feature-rich member of the company's extremely popular phablet range with the Galaxy Note 7. The handset continues Samsung's tradition of making sure its smartphones not only have the latest and greatest specs and features, but also have an ultra-thin premium glass and metal design that gives Apple a run for its money.
The Galaxy Note 7 is clearly being targeted at Apple's upcoming iPhone 7 Plus, which is expected to feature the same 5.5-inch Retina display, used by the iPhone 6 Plus, and 6s Plus, but like every "Plus" model before it, the handset will differentiate itself from the smaller 4.7-inch iPhone 7 in terms of camera capabilities and now, a new report backs up a previous report we shared in May, which said Apple was planning to ship the iPhone 7 Plus with 3 GB of RAM due to its advanced and exclusive dual-lens rear camera. The iPhone 7 will reportedly pack in an upgraded single lens rear camera, according to multiple reports and leaked images.
We're now beginning to hear some more details regarding the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus and they confirm previous reports, like, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo just revealed that the 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus will ship with another exclusive feature, it will boast a whopping 3 GB of RAM, compared with its counterpart's (iPhone 7) 2 GB.
One of the major features both iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models are planning to abandon are the standard 3.5mm headphone port, which has been removed and will be the first iPhones to ship from Apple with this much-loved feature. The video shows what are reportedly the rose gold iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. They look legit and clearly are usable with what are reportedly Lightning EarPod headphones that may ship with the smartphones in September.
Last but not least, it wouldn't be Apple if it didn't introduce a new iPhone color to broadcast to the public that you have the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. We've seen it with the gold iPhone 5s in September 2013, making the handset highly coveted, this was followed with the rose gold iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, and iPhone SE, again letting the world know you have the latest and greatest.
A new iPhone 7 Plus video appears to show what could be the new exclusive color launching with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in September. The video appears to show the iPhone 7 Plus and likely the iPhone 7 will be offered in a blue color option, which was initially reported in June will indeed ship with Apple's Smart Connector port, which is currently found on its 12.9-inch and 9.7-inch iPad Pro tablets.
