Going to the movies is just one of the many things to do during summertime. However, there is only so much viewers can take of loud children in animated movies or the high prices of 3D-action movies.
It's close to impossible to see every movie in theaters, especially when on a budget or preoccupied with other outdoor activities. However, those with a Showtime cable subscription or who are members of the network's standalone streaming service don't have to sacrifice planning a movie night featuring titles worth watching. The best part is that these kind of nights can be arranged on the viewer's time.
Showtime just released its July lineup, making it easy to get the popcorn ready in advance when it comes to watching the big blockbusters you skipped seeing in the theaters. These include the intense boxing flick Southpaw starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Forest Whitaker and Rachel McAdams, and the thriller Intruders about a young woman who suffers from a severe anxiety disorder that prevents her from leaving her house when two criminals break in.
Other movies include the classic Clerks II and the first two films from the Saw franchise, along with a new season of the original series The Circus: Inside the Greatest Political Show on Earth, which reveals the stories behind the headlines during this election season, as well as new episodes of Ray Donovan and Roadies.
If watching these titles when they air on the network is out of the question, viewers can tune in on Showtime On Demand, Showtime Anytime or on the standalone Showtime streaming service.
