Now that Game of Thrones is coming to an end, it's time to think of the next series to start watching. While nothing can soften the blow of mourning the loss of another season, HBO is about to debut new content for the month of July that will help keep viewers' minds off having to wait months for their favorite series to return.
That means even those who subscribed to HBO's standalone streaming service HBO Now don't even have to debate whether to keep their membership or not. Subscribers' next obsession may very well be the new original eight-part series The Night Of that follows a complex murder case set in New York City where a man is charged with killing a woman after a night of partying with her. There is also the premiere of Vice Principals, a dark comedy from the creators of Eastbound & Down about two men who sort of run a high school. July also brings with it the return of Ballers starring Dwayne Johnson.
If it's movies users are looking to stream, there is no shortage here with the theatrical premieres of Straight Outta Compton, Jem and the Holograms and Suffragette. Other movies available include the classic The Neverending Story, as well as the comedy Dumb and Dumber and its sequel, and the thriller Joy Ride.
Make sure to watch movies like Ali, The Divergent Series: Insurgent and Transformers before they leave the platform on July 31.
