Even though you probably already have an ongoing list of movies you just have to see this summer, you will still have to wait a bit longer to watch titles like Ghostbusters, Star Trek Beyond and Suicide Squad. With barbecue season in full force right now, you would be lying if you said you would rather stay indoors on the weekends now.
That doesn't mean that you have given up on one of your favorite hobbies: hanging on the couch with a good movie. It's just that you want to be able to do this on your own time during the summer, like when it's a rainy day or when you are trying to escape the heat.
You won't need to wait around for new content for long, since the three popular streaming services are adding new titles to its libraries for June. This includes the anticipated season 4 debut of Orange is the New Black in mid-June, along with the Hulu premiere of the cult classic Wayne's World on the first of the month, and Zootopia available to purchase from Amazon Video on June 7.
Here's a rundown of what's new to Netflix, Hulu and Prime Video in June.
Netflix
As mentioned above, the hottest title coming to Netflix this month will be brand new episodes starring the ladies of Litchfield for season 4 of OITNB on June 17. However, if you still haven't finished binge-watching the previous seasons, you can instead start on a new original series like Hibana: Spark based on the Japanese novel on June 2, or just get your laugh on with the comedy special Bo Burnham: Make Happy on June 3.
