Microsoft launched a new BOGO deal for its flagship smartphones, throwing in a free Lumia 950 with the purchase of an unlocked Lumia 950 XL.
The Windows 10-powered Lumia 950 normally costs $549, so this deal allows for great savings. The unlocked Lumia 950 XL, meanwhile, costs $649 unlocked, and Microsoft's new offer means that you get two powerful flagships for that price.
As always, this attractive BOGO deal is available only for a limited period. The promotion kicked off on June 21 and runs through June 27, while supplies last. The deal applies to Lumia 950 XL purchases made in Microsoft online and retail stores in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada.
Both the Lumia 950 and 950 XL are GSM models, which means they're compatible with GSM carriers such as T-Mobile, AT&T, MetroPCS, Cricket Wireless and others. The two flagships run Windows 10 out of the box and boast powerful specs and features all around.
As a reminder, the larger Lumia 950 XL comes with a 5.7-inch AMOLED ClearBlack display with a WQHD resolution of 2,560 x 1440 pixels and packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 3 GB of RAM. For those worried about the overheating issues marring the Snapdragon 810, Microsoft has added Liquid Cooling technology to ensure the smartphone doesn't get too hot.
Other specs of the Lumia 950 XL include 32 GB of native storage, expandable via microSD, a 20-megapixel main camera with 6-lens optics, autofocus, optical image stabilization (OIS), 2x digital zoom, 4K video recording capabilities and other neat tricks, and a 5-megapixel front shooter for video calls and selfies.
Powering up that large 5.7-inch display is a 3,340 mAh battery, complete with wireless charging and rapid charging features for extra convenience.
The Lumia 950 shares many of those specifications, but sports a smaller 5.2-inch display, a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 and a 3,000 mAh battery.
Both smartphones have USB Type-C ports, support Windows Continuum, Windows Hello authentication and a slew of other neat features, which now seem even more appealing with Microsoft's latest two-for-one deal.
