ZTE Flagship Nubia Z11 Set To Debut On June 28

ZTE has confirmed that the Nubia Z11 flagship smartphone will be launched on June 28.

The Chinese mobile phone maker announced the Nubia Z11 mini in April and the Nubia Z11 Max earlier in June this year. ZTE has released a poster stating a launch event for the Nubia Z11 at the famous Beijing National Convention Center.

The Nubia Z11 poster features famous football player Cristiano Ronaldo, but it is unlikely that he will be present at the launch event because of the Euro 2016.

Rumors of the Nubia Z11 have been doing the rounds for many months. Several leaked images of the ZTE handset have also given a glimpse of what the mobile phone may look like. Although ZTE has not revealed any specs of the Nubia Z11, previous rumors suggest that the device will sport a 5.5-inch 1080p display.

The Nubia Z11 is expected to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor clocked at 2.15 GHz. Being a flagship smartphone, the Nubia Z11 should have at least 4 GB of RAM. However, speculations are rife that ZTE may also launch a 6 GB RAM variant of the device.

ZTE fans should expect the Nubia Z11 to come with 64 GB of on-board storage. Given that handsets in the Z series such as the Nubia Z11 mini and the Nubia Z11 Max come with a microSD card slot, it is very likely that customers will have the option to expand the memory of the Nubia Z11 with a microSD card.

Rumors suggest that the upcoming Nubia Z11 will be equipped with a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The handset may include a 2,900 mAh battery.

The Nubia Z11 mini and the Nubia Z11 Max come running on Android 5.1 Lollipop, but since Nubia Z11 will be the company's flagship smartphone, customers could hope that the phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow straight out of the box.

A previous Tech Times report highlighted that ZTE may plan to launch the Nubia Z11 simultaneously in China and in the United States.

"We are confident to enter the U.S. market because ZTE had already built a good foundation there," said Ni Fei, the CEO of Nubia. "We are still cost-effective, but on a much higher level."

While the official launch date for the Chinese market has been announced, the company is yet to confirm if the Nubia Z11 will be launched in the United States.
