Nintendo Reveals Waluigi, 'Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild' Amiibo At E3

Nintendo's Amiibo toy business is still booming, so it's no surprise to see the company keeping the flow of new figurines coming. At E3, Nintendo is showing off all the new Amiibo fans can expect to buy in the coming year, including a brand new line of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Amiibo.

Three new Legend of Zelda Amiibo have been revealed. One shows the game's new version of Link wielding the bow and arrow seen in the game's teaser trailer. Another shows a hooded link on horseback, once again, much as he appeared in the game's initial teaser. The third Amiibo is perhaps the most interesting. It's of the Guardian enemy type, and it will be the first Amiibo with movable parts. It's legs sprawl out from the base of the figure and can be moved in a variety of ways, thanks to their flexible nature.

Nintendo isn't yet revealing what each of these Amiibo may do in Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but the company did reveal that those who purchased the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD and Wolf Link Amiibo bundle will be able to use that figurine in the upcoming game. Using the Wolf Link Amiibo in Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will summon Wolf Link to aid Link in combat and also help Link hunt. The wolf will have three hearts and will disappear after running out of HP. Presumably, the three Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Amiibo will release alongside the game in March of 2017.

However, that's not all Nintendo revealed. A brand new line of Super Mario Bros. Amiibo are on the way, including a long-awaited Waluigi Amiibo that is sure to make more than a few players happy. Waluigi is one of the few Mario characters yet to get his own Amiibo, but that's finally changing when the new figures release in November. Joining Waluigi will be Amiibo for Boo and and Daisy, both making their Amiibo debuts. New figures for Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Wario and Rosalina will also be released as part of the Super Mario Bros. line, in a different pose from that of each character's Super Smash Bros. Amiibo.

The announcement of new Amiibo is one of the few major announcements to come out of Nintendo this E3. Much of the company's show this year is dedicated to showing off Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, though Pokemon Sun and Moon has also been demoed via Nintendo's E3 live stream.
