New Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare trailer highlights co-op mode - 'Exo Survival'

Call of Duty is hot again this year in the form of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Ever since the abomination that is Call of Duty: Ghosts, fans have been clamoring for a Call of Duty game that is worth playing, and from the looks of things, that game is here.

Activision has lately released a new trailer of the game that shows off both the single player campaign and the multiplayer components. Interestingly enough, the new trailer showed for the first time what players should expect when it comes down to co-op.

What the trailer shows is nothing special in our eyes, but it looks fun nonetheless. The co-op mode appears to be similar to the traditional survival mode in the past Modern Warfare games, but this time Activision is calling it "Exo Survival Mode."

Some fans of the series might not be happy about the new Exo Survival Mode, especially those who prefer to play Zombies and Extension. However, players should keep in mind that Zombies are exclusive to the Black Ops series, and Extinction to the Ghosts.

Since Advanced Warfare is similar to Modern Warfare, it would make sense that this new series work with the Survival mode co-op rather than copying the differentiator from the other series in the Call of Duty universe.

It would be interesting to see if Advanced Warfare brings anything new to the survival mode co-op option apart from the ability to turn the tide by using the equipped Exosuit on every player.

For those who are in the dark, the new Exo Survival Mode aims to pit up to four players against wave after wave of enemies. Each wave is harder than the one before, and players must do their best to stay alive.

The waves consist of regular grunts, SWAT-like grunts, armored grunts, and aerial attack vehicles. Since this is Advanced Warfare, we expect some of the enemies to be robots and other technological advanced soldiers who are well prepared to bullets into players with a serious face.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is the latest in Activision's popular first-person shooter franchise, and so far the game is gearing up for a big launch come Nov. 4, 2014. The game will be released on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC.
