Online retailer OppoMart has listed the next-generation OnePlus 3 on its website along with specs and price.
OnePlus has confirmed that it will launch the next flagship killer — the OnePlus 3 — on June 14. The smartphone maker has started a "blind sale" promo that allows customers to buy the new handset without seeing it. OnePlus is offering 1,000 units of the unannounced OnePlus 3 in a blind sale on its Chinese website.
The blind sale price tag for the OnePlus 3 is 2,999 yuan, or about $456. The website suggests that the indicative price may change after the phone has been officially announced. The sale starts on June 6 at 10 a.m.
However, the company's blind sale gimmick is spoiled by the listing of the OnePlus 3 on OppoMart at a cheaper price. OppoMart has a price of $369 attached to the handset, but currently, the status of the OnePlus 3 on the retailer's website is "out of stock." The listing of the handset also suggests that the device sports a 5.5-inch full HD screen with a display resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels.
A quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and 4 GB / 6 GB of RAM will power the device. However, there are speculations that OnePlus may launch the next-generation smartphone with a Snapdragon 823 chipset as well.
The OnePlus 3 is estimated to be equipped with a 16-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies. The handset may be available with 32 GB / 64 GB / 128 GB internal storage options.
The OnePlus 3 may have a fingerprint scanner, which will bring the smartphone at par with other flagships available in the market. The OnePlus phone is highly likely to come running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system straight out of the box.
Previous rumors suggest that OnePlus 3 may be available in four models, and pricing will be based upon memory, material and other features. The base model of the OnePlus 3 is expected to have a price of 2,299 yuan ($350), while other models will cost 2,499 yuan ($380), 2,699 yuan ($411) and 2,799 yuan ($426).
OnePlus has also confirmed that it has done away with the invitation system, which will make it easy for customers to purchase the mobile phone.
The launch of the OnePlus 3 is not far, and customers will have to wait until OnePlus officially confirms the models, specs and pricing of the smartphone.
