GTA 5 update: PS4, PC and Xbox One versions may get First-person mode, new Easter eggs and more

Rockstar Games is introducing a next-generation Grand Theft Auto in November but has remained silent as to what GTA 5 will have to offer to the millions of fans the game has garnered around the world. The game developer, however, has accidentally published a list of new features that gamers will certainly be looking out for when GTA 5 is released in a couple of months.

A blog post made by Rockstar says the game developer is taking advantage of the additional processing power embedded in PCs, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One by bringing in first-person perspective to on-foot and in-car modes and offering a richer, more realistic graphic experience. The blog post has since been deleted but one user of GTA Forums has captured a screenshot and posted it via image sharing website Imgur.

"Grand Theft Auto V will take full advantage of the power of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with across-the-board graphical and technical improvements to deliver a stunning new level of detail," said Rockstar in its now deleted blog post. "Increased draw distances, finer texture details, denser traffic, and enhanced resolutions all work together to bring new life to the cities, towns, deserts and oceans of Rockstar North's epic reimagining of Southern California."

Gamers who choose to go first-person while on in-car mode also have access to interior tools, such as speedometers, tachometers and dashboard lights. They will also be introduced to new animals for GTA 5 and GTA Online as well as new Easter eggs and random events for gamers playing in story mode. In addition, GTA will also have an overhauled character selection screen but declined to comment on what changes gamers can expect.

Rockstar also said it will be adding its own video editor to the PC version, which makes it a good addition for gamers who like to broadcast their gameplay over gaming-focused video sharing websites such as Twitch. The game developer is giving away for free a set of new weapons and a new garage to gamers who are making the switch from Xbox 360 to PlayStation 3.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is set to go public on Nov. 18 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. PC gamers, however, will have to wait until Jan. 27 next year to get their hands on the latest GTA title.
