Huawei Launches 60-Day Money Back Guarantee For Honor 5X, Honor 7: Sorry, Not For Americans

Huawei is looking for more customers to pick up its smartphones, and to do so, it has launched a 60-day money back guarantee for the Honor 5X and Honor 7.

The offer shows the company's confidence in the fact that once users try their smartphones, they would see them as keepers. However, the problem that Huawei has been experiencing is the fact that customers are not aware of the brand and are not trying out their products in the first place.

With a 60-day money back guarantee, it will be a win-win situation for customers and Huawei. Customers will avoid falling into buyer's remorse over a smartphone that they realize is not a good fit for them, while Huawei will boost sales, believing that customers will be hooked to the Honor 5X and Honor 7 once they begin using these devices.

The offer, however, is not being launched in the United States, as it is targeting the European market. Huawei is introducing the 60-day money back guarantee in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain.

The guarantee is good for purchases of the Honor 5X and Honor 7 up until June 8, and for users that would like to have their money back, Huawei will also be picking up the device to be returned for free so that customers will not be inconvenienced in having to ship back the smartphone themselves. Of course, smartphones being returned will need to be undamaged with all the original component, according to Huawei's policy.

The 60-day return policy is four times longer compared to the mandatory 14-day period that the European Union requires for products that were purchased remotely.

The Huawei Honor 5X, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset with up to 3 GB of RAM, a 5.5-inch full HD display, expandable memory and a 13 MP main camera, was launched in Europe in February.
