Platinum 'Uncharted 4,' Get A Special Email From Sony

Platinuming a game, any game, is no small feat. While some games are harder than others, it's safe to say that snagging each and every trophy in a game is never a truly easy task: it requires some serious skill, time and dedication.

For that reason, it appears Sony is sending out special congratulatory emails to those dedicated gamers who can manage to acquire all 56 trophies in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. As spotted on Reddit (via GamesRadar), fans who platinum the game will find a special message in their email inbox.

Not that platinuming Uncharted 4 is a cakewalk. Players will need to complete the game on the hardest difficulty for one trophy. It seems that many of the gamers on the hunt for the platinum over on Reddit are having difficulty with this one in particular.

For another trophy, players need to finish the game in under six hours. Uncharted 4 is the longest entry in the series, but players will no doubt find ways to cut down on time. Killing enemies in a variety of ways is a requirement for yet another trophy, as is finding each and every artifact and journal entry. Players will also need to unlock the game's various secret trophies, one of which includes getting a new top score in Crash Bandicoot. It seems like that might be one of the easier trophies of the bunch, but trust us, it's not.

One trophy that is likely to give players trouble is the Sharpshooter bronze trophy. Despite only being bronze, this one is much harder than it sounds (and it already sounds kind of hard). Players need to complete the entire game with a shot accuracy percentage of 70 percent or greater. That means players have to make each and every shot count, and definitely makes running and gunning a major no-no.

Still, despite those challenges, so far, at least a few players have managed to accomplish the task. While it's not much, a special pat on the back from Sony is a nice additional reward for a job well done.
