Apparently, Samsung's next big thing isn't the 5.5-inch Galaxy S7 edge but a billboard of the smartphone in Moscow, Russia, and this goes without saying, but it's hard to miss.
To clear things up on the get-go, no, it doesn't have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or an Exynos 8890, and it doesn't sport anything else that the normal-sized version of the handset does such as a fingerprint scanner and 4 GB worth of RAM.
Now that some of the hardware specifications have been straightened out, the Galaxy S7 edge standing in Sokol is 262 feet tall and 131 feet wide, and thanks to that, it's sure to get a ton of eyes on it.
"The Galaxy S7 edge LED signage can be spotted from as far as Moscow's Gidroproekt building which is located 2.2 kilometers from the site. The LED signage is situated on the side of main road that connects downtown Moscow and Sheremetyevo International Airport, an area that sees approximately 800,000 people per day," Samsung says.
That's definitely one big distraction for drivers, but good thing it doesn't involve any texting, which is the worst of all the disturbances that they can face on the road, according to experts.
On an interesting note, the handset is considered as the best of the 2016 smartphones out there, so it's probably only natural for Samsung to promote it in such a way and in a huge place where a lot of people will pass it by daily. Well, sort of.
