Good news for fans of Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2. Close on the heels of releasing the first free DLC for the game - the Graveyard Variety Pack - in March, EA and PopCap Games are channeling all of their energies on the second expansion pack, dubbed Trouble in Zombopolis: Part One.
Trouble in Zombopolis: Part One as the name suggests will be the first in a multi-part series. The game is set to bring the "biggest zombie city" in the franchise, the city of Zombopolis.
On May 17, the studio revealed that the next major content upgrade for the game was poised to make its way to gamers this summer. The add-on will be free and will bring plenty of new content players' way.
"We've been hard at work since launching our first free content update in March, Graveyard Variety Pack, and today I'm thrilled to finally reveal the next chapter in the battle of doom and gloom. Trouble in Zombopolis: Part One, the next free major content update, is coming to all players this summer!" announced Justin Wiebe, the game's creative director.
Along with the Mega Zombot weapon, Dr. Zomboss will also have at his disposal a new zombie character named Breakfast Brainz, which Wiebe describes as a "bacon-caped crusader." The second new character is for the Plants side and is called Toxic Citron.
Trouble in Zombopolis: Part One will also see the arrival of a plethora of customization items - more than 1,200 - as part of the Zany Zombopolis Pack. The expansion pack also marks the return of the Boat Blast shooting gallery in Backyard Battleground. The game will include the Herbal Assault map multiplayer mode. Leaderboards are also back, plus there are several bug fixes, character tweaks, gameplay enhancements and more. Check out the complete changelog for details.
