Sprint customers can get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow-powered HTC 10 smartphone for just $21 a month.
The HTC 10 is one of the newest flagship mobile phones in the market, and its top-end specs will attract many handset buyers. The HTC offering is now available via a couple of carriers in the U.S., and customers can purchase the device under various payment options.
However, Sprint is enticing customers with a $120 discount on a brand-new HTC 10. Sprint customers have to pay $0 down followed by 24 equal installments of $21, which equates to $504 in total. Customers will not be able to get the discount at brick-and-mortar stores, as the above is a "web exclusive" offer.
Sprint is also selling the HTC 10 at a full price of $624. Two-year contracts are supposed to be dead, but Sprint is also offering the HTC 10 for $199.99 on a two-year contract.
Verizon was the first carrier that started selling the HTC 10 in the U.S. The carrier started taking pre-orders for the handset starting April 29, and customers who pre-ordered would get the HTC for $0 down followed by $22.83 monthly installments paid in 24 months.
However, customers now have to pay $27 per month if they want to purchase the HTC 10 from Verizon.
T-Mobile, the carrier that unpacked the HTC 10 about 10,000 feet in the air, will start selling the smartphone starting May 18.
"The HTC 10 will be available in participating T-Mobile stores nationwide and online at T-Mobile.com for $0 down and $28.34 over 24 months (FRP: $679.99) with T-Mobile's interest-free financing plan," says T-Mobile.
The HTC 10 will not be available via AT&T, but the unlocked version of the handset, available from HTC's website for $699, is compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile.
The HTC device sports a 5.2-inch Quad HD screen with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz and 4 GB of RAM powers the HTC 10.
The HTC 10 has a 12 MP UltraPixel rear-facing camera (f/1.8 lens) with Laser Autofocus, BSI sensor and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The camera also has dual-tone LED flash, self-timer of up to 10 seconds and face detection. The selfie camera of the HTC 10 has a 5-megapixel sensor (f/1.8 lens).
It has a 3,000 mAh battery, which is capable of providing up to 27 hours of talk time and up to 19 days of stand-by time.
Many smartphone enthusiasts will want to lay their hands of the latest HTC 10, and Sprint's $120 discount may help the carrier get many orders for the mobile phone.
