Choose Your 'Captain America: Civil War' Side With Twitter Emojis

It's almost that time: the biggest battle on the planet is about to happen. It's Captain America vs. Iron Man and the stakes are higher than ever for The Avengers.

In anticipation of this big event, the arrival of Captain America: Civil War, you can now choose your side in the war by using certain hashtags on Twitter that will give you cute emojis.

Are you on #TeamIronMan? There's an emoji for that. Or maybe you agree more with #TeamCap this time around. There's an emoji for that, too. But you're not just limited to those two - you can also show your love on Twitter for Black Widow, Hawkeye, Bucky, The Falcon, Ant-Man, Spider-Man, Scarlet Witch and Black Panther.

This is, obviously, all part of a promotion with Marvel in honor of the release of Captain America: Civil War. But the emojis are a cute and fun way to not just promote a film, but also let fans share their favorite characters from The Avengers.

Here's the rundown of the emojis and hashtags:

In Captain America: Civil War, events from The Avengers: Age of Ultron lead the government into wanting to set up a system that makes superheroes more accountable for their actions. This would, basically, put the superheroes in the hands of the government, something Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, feels strongly against. On the other hand, Tony Stark, Iron Man, agrees that the team needs that accountability and this ends up creating a strong divide between the two friends, as well as the whole team of Avengers, who take sides.

Civil War also brings a few new characters to the Avengers team, too, including Spider-Man, who has not yet appeared as part of Marvel's cinematic universe. Ant-Man will also officially join with Team Cap.

Probably the most anticipated new character in Civil War, though, is Black Panther, who will eventually get his own solo movie. In the trailers for the movie, Black Panther seems to side with Iron Man, but in the comic books, he eventually gets swayed over to Captain America's side.

Captain America: Civil War arrives in theaters on May 6.
