'Comix Zone,' 'Double Dragon Neon' And 3 Additional Arcade Titles Join Xbox One Backward Compatibility

Microsoft has been on the ball lately when it comes to adding additional games to the growing list of Xbox 360 games playable on the Xbox One, and now it has added five new titles in one fell swoop.

Each of the five games are Arcade titles on the Xbox 360. That means if you previously bought any of these games digitally on your 360, you should now be able to find them under your list of "Ready to Install" games on Xbox One. Nice and easy, just how we like it.

The new additions include Comix Zone, Altered Beast, The Cave, Double Dragon Neon and Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime. Most of the titles added are older games that received ports onto the Xbox 360, with Double Dragon Neon being a new version of a classic side-scrolling beat 'em up. You might remember playing Comix Zone on the Sega Genesis way back in 1995, for example. Same deal with Altered Beast. The two games, along with a more modern version of Double Dragon, should bring back plenty of memories for old-school gamers. Nostalgia, after all, is a powerful drug.

The two exceptions are Double Fine's The Cave and Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime. The Cave is a quirky and humor-filled puzzle game in which players must swap between various characters (each with their own abilities) in order to navigate and investigate a mysterious cave, which just so happens to serve as the game's narrator. It's a fun time, especially if you enjoy Double Fine's signature style of humor.

If you can't wait for the new Ghostbusters film, Sanctum of Slime may suffice, but you're probably better off avoiding this one. It's a four-player, top-down co-op game where players blast ghosts with their proton packs. Unfortunately, the game received abysmal reviews upon release, with the comic strip cutscenes probably being the most enjoyable part of the whole experience. You're probably better off just waiting for the new Ghostbusters movie coming later this summer.

Other recent additions to the backward compatibility list include Rayman Origins, Halo Wars, Dead Space, Soul Calibur II HD and more.
