The channel made the announcement with a short one-minute video on its YouTube page, highlighting shows that even non-subscribers could look forward to. Among them is the world premiere of Game of Thrones season six and the paid television premier of Jurassic World.

The same announcement was made on HBO's Medium page where the highlights of the "Free Preview Weekend" schedule were included.

HBO emphasized the shows scheduled on April 23 and 24, with things kicking off with the premiere of Jurassic World at 6:55 PM, Eastern Time. This is immediately followed by the world premiere of Grammy Award-winning performer Beyoncé's event titled Lemonade at 9PM, and at 10PM, the World Championship Boxing event featuring the Golovkin vs. Wade and Gonzales vs. Arroyo fights.

April 24 is dotted with season premieres beginning at 9PM, Eastern Time, with Game of Thrones season six. Silicon Valley season three and Veep season four follow at 10 and 10:30 PM, respectively, and the night of new episodes will end on a high note with John Oliver for Last Week Tonight With John Oliver.

For those on Cinemax, original programs like BANSHEE and blockbuster movies will be available on the channel during "Free Preview Weekend."
