Snapchat For Android Now Allows You To Pin 3D Stickers On Your Videos

Snapchat is making things a bit more exciting as the Snapchat app for Android now lets users pin animated emojis or 3D stickers on videos.

On April 14, Snapchat started rolling out an update to the Android version of the messaging app that is aimed at anyone who loves adding emojis to their videos.

Emoji stickers are typically stationary when added on a video clip, which doesn't make them too enticing. With the update on board, however, Snapchat users are now given the option to make these stickers automatically move with the video.

Albeit this update is deemed minor, this seems to be an important one, especially to those who are looking to give their social media some flare or wish to make their videos more creative.

To use this feature, users have to record a video first.

"Place an emoji sticker on a video snap, then press and hold to pin it!" explains the description of the app on Google Play.

Users of the iOS version of this app should not get excited just yet, as this update has not yet landed on the mobile operating system. However, the company promises to make this update available on iOS very soon. So if you are an iOS user, you have to wait a little while.

As videos with 3D stickers look more polished than ever before, these will, in turn, draw more views, which should help Snapchat strengthen its position against its strong rival, Facebook. The challenge is luring more advertisers away from television and attracting more users to the platform.

A recent survey revealed that Snapchat users spend 25 to 30 minutes, on average, everyday, on this app. With this newly added feature on the app, it is expected that users will spend even more time using it. This means the company will also generate more money through the advertisements.

Snapchat continues to beef up its app. Among the latest updates to the app is one that enables users to put more characters in their snappy captions.

Excited to use this new functionality? You have to have your app updated.

Once you have already tried out using these animated emojis, let us know what you think of the feature in the comment section below.
