Mark Hamill Greets Daisy Ridley Happy Birthday With A Jedi Training Pic

Mark Hamill strikes again and, this time, he had the help of his possible padawan, Rey.

On April 8, Hamill Tweeted that he will make a big reveal with regard to Star Wars: Episode VIII on April 10 — in time for his co-star Daisy Ridley's birthday — and it turns out that the big reveal is a very special Jedi training photo taken at Pinewood Studios. Take a look at Hamill's announcement, follow-up and actual "reveal."

To be fair, Hamill did say that the big reveal is for Ridley's birthday and his followers already guessed that he was most likely not serious about spoiling anything about the eighth film because he has pranked fans before. That did not stop his followers from poking fun at the photo and Hamill retweeted some of his favorite responses.

It seems Rey will be receiving the same kind of training Yoda gave Luke — but can we just say, Rey seems to be having an easier time carrying Luke than Luke with Yoda, which makes us wonder if either Luke was out of shape or Yoda was just really heavy. Just take a look at the photo below and compare.

Hamill's yet-another-prank aside, the production for Star Wars: Episode VIII seems to be going smoothly. Rian Johnson — who wrote the script and is directing the film — has already announced the beginning of filming on Feb. 15. Nearly two months after production began, we found some more information with regard to what we can expect for the next film.

First of all, Johnson herself confirmed that BB-8 will return and a possibly deleted tweet saying C3PO will get his normal arm back was also released.

Construction for the beehive huts seen towards the end of Star Wars: The Force Awakens is also underway in Kerry. Perhaps one of them will serve as Rey's home while she is in training.

Other than that, Johnson shared this photo on her Tumblr account.

Star Wars: Episode VIII will be released in cinemas on Dec. 15, 2017.
