An eBay listing is selling the 16 GB model of the LG-made Google Nexus 5X at only $229.99, which is a good price for customers looking to acquire a Nexus smartphone.
The Nexus 5X is priced at $349.99 when purchased from the Google Store, so the eBay listing represents over 30 percent discount.
The eBay listing provides customers with color options of only carbon black or quartz white, as the ice green option is shown as out of stock. The item will come with a 14-day money back warranty and a 30-day exchange warranty. Also of note is that the units being sold are brand new units and not second-hand or refurbished ones.
It should be noted, however, that the Nexus 5X being sold is the international H791 model of the smartphone, which is of the GSM variant. This means that the smartphone will work with all of the LTE bands of AT&T and two out of the three main LTE bands of T-Mobile, but it would not work with Sprint or Verizon.
For customers who are wary of purchasing from an eBay seller, there is also the option of purchasing the 16 GB Nexus 5X for only $199, with the requirement that the smartphone will be activated through Google's Project Fi service. Users will be able to switch to another carrier without any penalties. However, this offer only lasts until today, April 7, so users will have to decide quickly if they should take up Project Fi's offer for the Nexus 5X or choose the $229.99 eBay listing.
At the time of writing, 441 units of the Nexus 5X have been sold through the listing, and with limited quantities available, customers also do not have that much time to decide.
Both are great offers for the Nexus 5X though, and choosing either one will allow users to score a great deal on a powerful smartphone.
