Fallout 4 has been capturing the hearts of people since its release as eager gamers battle mutated monsters and vicious creatures in the wasteland.
In the game's lore, one of the most terrifying creatures one encounters are Deathclaws. These are armored beings that are quick and deadly. They are all muscle, claws, sinew and teeth and in the game's backstory were originally replacement troops during the Great War.
The formidable creature is a result of genetic mutation in Fallout 4 and now thanks to a sculptor dubbed "Sculpture_Geek" Vierra, one can see the Deathclaw take shape in front of our very eyes!
A YouTube video from Vierra shows off how the sculptor masterfully recreates the terrifying creature from scratch. The life-like and realistic clay model is eerie enough to make one take flight.
Vierra uses primarily tin foil and wire to recreate the Deathclaw. The skin is made using chavant, which is an oil-based clay. Initially, when the video begins and the beast is yet to take form, things look a little bleak.
However, under Vierra's artistic hands and keen eye, the creature soon starts to take shape as the sculptor's tools deftly carve away. The features swiftly took form and form the deadly face Fallout 4 players will only be too familiar with.
The amazing thing about Vierra's creation is that he has screwed together the entire beast to a stand by using something as basic as a regular plumbing flange. For the sculpting of the Deathclaw, he uses specialized tools in conjunction with regular junk that one may easily find lying around the home.
The entire process will make one wonder and appreciate how 3D video game artists bring characters to life. How they tirelessly spend days and months crafting the smallest of details to bring creatures to life.
Check out the formidable creature comes to life in the video below as Vierra transforms a mere blob of clay into a ferocious video game monster. The detailing of the creature will leave you spellbound - specially the eyes!
