Episode 14 of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. definitely proved that the bad guys don't rest and threats abound not only for the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division, which does not exist anymore, but for each of its agents, human and inhuman. Coulson's team just lost two of its members in "Parting Shot" but the threat just got bigger in "Watchdogs," as well as in episode 15 titled "Spacetime."
After all the chaos that the Watchdogs caused in episode 14, we finally get to see Brett Dalton back in action, but this time, as The Hive. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. released two video clips to tease everyone about what the agents may be facing in the next episode, or just in the future.
Grant Ward/The Hive and Gideon Malick/Hydra
In the first video clip released on March 31, we see a Grant Ward in full health - which is understandable since he bathed in healthy people goo last time we saw him - making a grand entrance and having a conversation with Gideon Malick.
Ward, also known as "The Hive," tries to get to the bottom of why Malick was so intent on returning him to Earth. He finds out that it is true power Malick wants even without using his powers.
Of course, this only means that Hydra and Hive-Ward is back in action and will definitely be a major threat to the team.
New Inhumans
Marvel Entertainment is making sure people remember the angle for the series too because the second sneak peak, released on April 1, features a new Inhuman who can make someone see their own future - and the future seems dangerous, especially for Daisy.
The new teaser, aptly titled "This is Where I Die" features a homeless guy named Charles who unwillingly forces the owner of an establishment to see a future where he would be needing Daisy's help and ominously foretells that he will die.
You can tell that "Spacetime" going to be one shocking episode when it airs on April 5.
Watchdogs
Elsewhere and during the recently concluded episode, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is hyping up the audience for Captain America: Civil War with the Watchdogs connection. The television series shows just how dangerous angry right-wing groups can be, especially when threatened with something they barely understand.
What is more frightening is that, this time, they are backed up not only by a former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, Felix Blake, who has the crazy idea to use Nitramine - Howard Stark's unstable chemical that causes implosions - but Gideon Malick is also involved by supplying the group with high-powered artillery.
We can also look forward to Agent Simmons getting a much-needed and well-deserved character development now that she is intent on training herself. Honestly, Jemma is an amazing character but seeing her rely too much on men - Ward, Fitz, Will, Andrew/Lash - is painful to watch because she is surrounded by so many capable females yet she sees herself as weak. Perhaps now that Bobbi is gone, it's time for Simmons to step up.
"It's a recurring theme for her that she needs a man to save her ... She knows she doesn't have the combat skills ... She's just done with not being able to look after herself in that way," Elizabeth Henstridge explained about Simmons' new motivation.
The next episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs on April 5 on ABC.
