Sony’s PlayStation VR Core Bundle is now up for preorder via Gamestop, Walmart, Best Buy and Target.
This Core Bundle carries a price tag of $399. If users wish to snag the Launch Bundle, you have to shell out extra cash, as it is priced at $499. Preorders for the PlayStation VR Launch Bundle started last March 22.
Sony promises that delivery of this VR reality headset will start October 31 this year. If you want to preorder the PlayStation VR Core Bundle, head on to GameStop, Walmart, Best Buy and Target.
The Core Bundle is packed with the PS VR headset, the processor unit, HDMI cable, connection cable, stereo headphones, USB cable, AC adapter, AC power cord along with a demo disc. Do note that consumers have to spend $60 extra to buy the PlayStation Camera and $30 to purchase the PlayStation Move motion controller.
Sony says the PlayStation Camera makes it possible for the whole PS VR system to accurately capture gamers’ natural movement in virtual space. It explains that the LEDs around the PS VR headset, on the DualShock 4 controller plus the PlayStation Move motion controller are tracked by this camera.
As soon as the PS VR becomes available later this year, gamers will soon be able to have a more immersive experience in playing these confirmed games: Tumble VR, Wayward Sky, EVE: Valkyrie, Star Wars Battlefront, Headmaster, Rez Infinite, PlayStation VR Worlds, RIGS: Mechanized Combat League, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood and Eagle Flight. It is believed that more games for the PS VR are going to be announced at the E3 2016 this coming June.
Among the headline features of the Sony’s VR headset is its 3D Audio Technology and Advanced VR Display. The former enables users to be able to pinpoint sounds below, above and all around them. The PS VR rocks an expansive 5.7-inch OLED 1080p display that runs up to 120 frames per second.
To top it all off, this comes equipped with the Cinematic Mode, allowing users to play all PS4 games. Users can also enjoy various PS4 features, such as the Share Play and Live from PlayStation.
Setting up the PS VR, according to Sony, is easy peasy.
“Just plug the PlayStation VR headset and your PlayStation Camera into your PlayStation 4 system,” says Sony. “You’re ready to go.”
