Former WWE Writer Guesses The Rock's Role In 'WrestleMania 32'

The Rock's role in WrestleMania 32 has still not been solidified, and we're only five days away from the "Show of Shows" on Sunday, April 3.

That being said, there are a lot of different matches that the Rock could affect the outcome of, whether it's helping his cousin Roman Reigns against WWE World Heavyweight champion Triple H, having some sort of role in Shane McMahon and the Undertaker's Hell in a Cell bout or attempting to tame the "Beast" when Brock Lesnar faces Dean Ambrose in a no holds barred street fight (a Rock vs. Brock main event at WrestleMania 33 would be amazing, wouldn't it?).

While the Rock interjecting in any of those matches would be intriguing, one former WWE writer sees another match that, on paper, would call for an opportune situation for the "Great One."

Which match would that be?

"I think it's going to be a New Day for the Rock," Court Bauer, who currently works with AAA and Lucha Underground, told WrestlingInc.com. "I think he's going to help those guys out, because they're a man short on that deal, and I think it's a cool way to give those guys a rub."

Hmm ... interesting. On paper, the tag team champions the New Day are a man short up against the League of Nations, and who better to step in and even things up than the Rock? The sight of the Rock kicking around the likes of Sheamus, Rusev, Alberto Del Rio and King Barrett would be great to see.

Although Bauer says he could just as easily see the Rock have a role in the Hell in a Cell match or affect the outcome of the WWE World Heavyweight title bout, he likes the chances of the most electrifying man in sports entertainment ever to appear by the New Day's side.

"I might be wrong and he might run in during Hell in a Cell and help sway the future of WWE, or he might help his distant cousin and balance the odds if he needs help," he said. "I've heard some whispers of maybe something with New Day."

If this pans out, the post-match celebration with the New Day and the Rock would be pretty entertaining.
