Anakin Skywalker And Ahsoka Tano Build Up To One Final Showdown In 'Star Wars Rebels' Season 2 Finale

It is going to be one explosive and amazing use of The Force when the one-hour finale of season two of "Star Wars Rebels" airs on Disney XD on March 30 because the long awaited face-off between Anakin Skywalker and his young Padawan is finally happening.

LucasFilm came up with a video giving a glimpse of the Rebels' plight, their first encounter with a powerful Sith Lord and the mysterious foe's history and true relationship with Ahsoka. Does Ahsoka know who or what he is? Yes, she does and she knows him all too well.

The finale teaser released by LucasFilm on March 18 titled "Ahsoka Tano and Darth Vader: The Rise and Fall of a Friendship" shows events from the point of view of Ahsoka — since it is mainly her memories which surfaced when Ezra asked her if she knows who or what is behind the mask — and is composed of various scenes from the Rebels' fight against the Galactic Empire, as well as her training with Anakin Skywalker.

In one portion, Anakin even tells Ahsoka that she may not have made it as Obi-Wan Kenobi's Padawan due to her recklessness but that she may make it as his own Padawan. Various scenes from their training, missions and eventual capture of Ahsoka and Anakin's guilt and remorse for having allowed it to happen are also seen, along with Ahsoka's voice assuring her Jedi Master that it was because if him and his training that she and others survived.

It later shows their eventual conflict and Ahsoka's decision to leave the Jedi Council and seek answers for herself, as well as Anakin's very telling confession that he knows what it is like to want to walk away from the order.

Of course, the face-off between master and padawan, now fighting for different causes, end the video. Whether season two ends the Anakin and Ahsoka arc or not, we all have to wait until the final battle on March 30.

"Our long-awaited meeting has come at last," Darth Vader tells a waiting Ahsoka.
