The Netflix show, "Marvel's Daredevil" is returning for its second season on March 18 and, while Matt Murdock, played by Charlie Cox, was able to win against Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk in the first season, things will only get harder for the superhero because he is about to meet a worthy match in The Punisher and Elektra in season two.
The final trailer for season two has already been released so followers and fans of the show should already have an idea of just how tough Daredevil's battles will be when he returns, because he now will have two devils on his shoulders executing their own brand of justice.
Jon Bernthal whom we all know as Shane Walsh, Rick Grimes' best friend and deputy in AMC's "The Walking Dead," will debut in season two of "Daredevil" as Frank Castle, the fearsome vigilante, The Punisher. Comic book fans should already know that The Punisher is known for his rather unlawful and excessive way of bringing justice to offenders so it will be good to note that Bernthal's portrayal of the vigilante is excellent.
On one side, we have blind lawyer Matt Murdock who tries to stop the bad guys with the help of the law, but on the other, The Punisher is wiping out those who violate the law with or without the assistance of the system. It basically seems like Murdock is seeing what he could be should he decide to take his superhero work to the extreme for the sake of bringing justice and order to the city and it is a scary prospect.
What is even scarier is the arrival of Elektra, played by Élodie Yung, who is not only as capable as the two men but is also manipulative enough to actually completely corrupt Daredevil should she wish to do so.
