Leaked document confirms Apple iPhone 6 release date

Apple will introduce the new iPhone 6 this coming September. This is part of everyday news now until the Cupertino company officially announces the next-generation Apple smartphone.

Some say the official unveiling will be on September 6 while others confirm it will be on September 9 or 10. It will be a big product launch as what always happens in September of each year.

Apple is expected to show off two models of an iPhone 6: a smaller 4.7-inch model and a bigger 5.5-inch version. Leaked images are being posted left and right and the latest leak from Nowhere Else, a popular French technology website, shows us what seems to be a legitimate photo of the iPhone's packaging.

It was Nowhere Else who first posted the photo, which came from the website's "most trusted Chinese source". The French tech blog is somewhat believable because of it's past predictions and leaks, most of which turned out to be true.

Steve Hemmerstoffer, editor of the French blog sit, wrote that he was "confident" his source was correct as usual. Note that last year, this particular source also sent him a photo of the iPhone 5S, hours before Apple officially announced the phone.

This year, the same source sent a photo of the iPhone 6 packaging so it's likely to be true again.

Based on the box, the eight-generation iPhone will be announced on September 9, Tuesday. The Ring Silent Switch will still be on its current position. The Home Button will feature a Touch ID Sensor as the previous iPhone 5S model. And then there's the standard Lightning connector, which could include a reversible USB cable.

The packaging looks cleaner and simpler in white. This could also be a draft version but it could also be the real thing. According to Nowhere Else, the 4.7-inch iPhone could have a 128GB version too. Of course, who could forget the sapphire glass display screen that is believed to be scratchless.

It's less than two weeks until the rumored launch week so expect more rumors and leaked photos to come out from different sources. Only Tim Cook will lay those rumors to rest as he takes center stage on D-Day.
