Actor Ian McShane Really Doesn't Care That He Spoiled 'Game Of Thrones' Season Six

There are some actors who care deeply about superfans (or at least pretend to), and then, there are actors like Ian McShane. McShane, who plays a priest in the upcoming sixth season of Game of Thrones, let slip a fairly major spoiler earlier this month, and now, he's saying fans who are upset about it should get a life.

Spoilers below!

"Let slip" isn't exactly the most accurate phrase, since the actor basically just outright told the spoiler when asked a question two weeks ago. Regardless, he doesn't seem to have much sympathy for fans who are upset about the major spoiler he dropped regarding the fate of a beloved character.

"You say the slightest thing and the Internet goes ape," McShane tells the Telegraph. "I was accused of giving the plot away, but I just think get a f---ing life. It's only tits and dragons."

He goes on to explain that he only accepted the role in the show because he thought he would get to reunite with friends Charlie Dance and Stephen Dillane. He was also told he would appear in one episode only. Unfortunately for McShane, the show has already killed off both Dance and Dillane's characters, leaving McShane with a one-shot appearance.

However, it wouldn't be a proper Ian McShane interview without a spoiler, and so the actor also told the Telegraph this:

"I wasn't sure whether I could commit, but then they said it would only be for one episode, so I said, 'So that means I must die at the end of it. Great, I'm in.' "

So, does that mean McShane's character dies in his one-episode-only appearance? It's definitely a possibility, as he does only appear in a single episode and we still don't know all the details about his character. Regardless, it's clear the actor doesn't care either way. He already spoiled that the Hound is alive and kicking, so what's another minor spoiler about his character's fate? Just another drop in the bucket.

It remains to be seen how HBO feels about McShane spoiling its most popular show. Considering the network isn't even letting press view episodes of season six early in order to avoid spoilers, it probably doesn't like McShane spoiling things left and right. Oh, well. At least McShane's interviews have certainly been entertaining.
