New Trailer For 'Alice Through The Looking Glass' Explains Lost Hour For Daylight Saving Time

Who would have thought that the one-hour jump in time on March 13 had a darker truth to it than just "Spring forward and Fall backward" of Daylight Saving Time?

Disney is hinting at the possibility that it may just be the one responsible for the lost hour when it released the latest trailer for the "Alice in Wonderland" sequel, "Alice Through the Looking Glass."

The trailer not only addresses the fact that people lost an hour to Daylight Savings but also suggests that the time was not lost but rather stolen. Of course, Sacha Baron Cohen who has taken the role of Father Time takes the spotlight with solo scenes as well as scenes where he is interacting with the Mad Hatter, Alice Kingsleigh and the Red Queen.

The story of "Alice Through the Looking Glass" picks up when Alice returns from the long voyage she went on at the end of the 2010 film, "Alice in Wonderland," and she discovers that things in Underland have changed in her long absence, including the Mad Hatter losing his "Muchness." Alice then sets on a journey to go back in time to save her kooky friend by using a chronosphere and ends up at odds with Father Time.

The original cast, including Alan Rickman who passed away in January, reprised their roles for the sequel and were joined a bunch of new faces in the mad party. Along with Cohen who plays a half-human, half-clock creature, Rhys Ifans hops in to take the role of Zanik Hightopp, the Mad Hatter's father.

Linda Woolverton penned the script for the sequel and James Bobin is taking over the director's chair from Tim Burton, who now serves as producer.

"Alice Through the Looking Glass" will take everyone on a fantastic ride on May 27.
