J.J. Abrams is known for keeping his monsters under wraps. He was somehow able to successfully surprise us in 2008's Cloverfield, and aims to the the same with Friday's release of 10 Cloverfield Lane.
We do know that the film, directed by Dan Tractenberg, produced by Abrams for Bad Robot and starring John Goodman, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and John Gallagher Jr. will feature a monster of some sort; it just won't be the same creature we saw in the original.
While we patiently wait to head over to theaters this weekend to discover what exactly this mysterious monstrosity could be, there are plenty other more famous critters, varmints and beasts that have graced the big screen in the past. Luckily for us, there's lots of titles waiting to be devoured on the popular streaming platforms.
