Fan Recreates Stephen Curry's Insane Game-Winning Shot In 'NBA 2K16'

Stephen Curry delivered the kind of unearthly fireworks Saturday night that will permanently go down in the lore of NBA history as being one of the greatest shooting displays basketball fans have ever seen.

In particular, with the score between his Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder knotted at 118 in the waning seconds of overtime, the reigning league MVP — and frontrunner to repeat this year — drove the ball down the court and launched an insane 32-foot three-pointer to put his squad up with 0.6 seconds left, giving Dub City the win.

The jaw-dropping shot set social media ablaze, making Curry an instant trending topic. His sensational play overall and final shot, which coincidentally tied the all-time NBA mark for most threes in a single season with 288, even caused LeBron James to take to his Twitter account and show Curry nothing but respect.

Well, part of the aftermath of Curry's heroics included one gamer recreating the MVP's deep, game-winning three-pointer from Saturday night in NBA 2K16 for all to enjoy. The YouTube user, Shady00018, even complemented the the gameplay with a live frantic call of ABC announcer Mike Breen and his exuberant "BANG" exclamation upon Curry's final shot.

Check it out below:

While the gamer left 0.4 more seconds on the clock than actually seen in the game following Curry's unbelievable shot, he or she did capture the essence of one of the bigger clutch buckets that NBA fans have seen in recent memory.

And interestingly enough, Curry's heroics and this NBA 2K16 gameplay recreation came days after NBA 2K itself told Forbes that it's still looking for ways to properly virtualize the MVP's game, in relation to his deep shooting and deft handling.

"To be completely honest, we are still looking for ways to better translate his game into NBA 2K," Mike Wang, gameplay director of NBA 2K, told Forbes. "He's a 'rule breaker' when it comes to jump shooting ... he becomes a problem in the video game world where we've been trying to train our gamers [to know] that certain types of shots should be rewarded versus others."

From dominating the NBA to breaking the Internet and video games, Curry is having one unreal season.

It's pretty cool that his thrilling shot will be immortalized via actual NBA game highlights and this NBA 2K16 gameplay recreation.

The latter already has 233,000 YouTube views and counting.
