A new image of the alleged HTC One M10 has emerged online highlighting some rumored design aspects of the upcoming smartphone.
The 2016 Mobile World Congress has been promising so far for smartphone lovers as several companies such as Samsung, LG, Sony and more have launched their flagship handsets. HTC has also showcased some of its new mobile phones in the Desire series but the company's flagship device has missed the party.
It seems HTC device enthusiasts will have to wait longer to see the much anticipated One M10, codenamed Perfume. According to a previous report, HTC has no plans of launching its flagship smartphone anytime soon. Still, the company is expected to unveil its next-generation top-end device on April 11 in London.
Many renders of the One M10 have leaked online in the past few months and few more images of the HTC offering have appeared again online. The latest leaked image comes courtesy of Chinese microblogging website Weibo (via TechTastic) and shows the upper back portion of the One M10.
If the leaked render is to be believed, then the upcoming One M10 will be encased in an all-metal frame. The handset will have a slightly protruding camera and a dual-tone LED flash. A black sensor just under the flash could be a vertically positioned laser-assisted auto-focus system.
When it comes to design, the handset seems to have a slight curve and large chamfered edges. The top-center appears to be the spot for a 3.5-millimeter audio jack. The volume control buttons are positioned at the left of the mobile phone, which matches with previous leaks.
The HTC One M10 is rumored to sport a 5.1-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. Speculations are also high that HTC's next flagship will be available in two models: one with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and 4 GB of RAM and the other with a MediaTek processor. The Qualcomm version of the mobile device is more likely to hit American and European markets.
The HTC offering may include 32 GB onboard storage. Customers may also expect a microSD card slot, which will be useful for expanding the storage capacity of the phone.
Most of the flagships launched and to be launched are expected to come running on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and HTC One M10 is also expected to get the latest operating system to be at par with rivals.
HTC has not yet confirmed the launch date of the One M10, which means customers will have to wait longer for a flagship smartphone from the Taiwanese company.
