YouTuber Rosanna Pansino's Nerdy Nummies, a baking show on the site dedicated to creating whimsical (and tasty) baked goods, has gained over five million followers over the years for Pansino's now-famous (you guessed it) nerd-themed treats. As you'd expect, each recipe Pansino concocts is based off of a TV show, comic, movie and so forth — so, it's no surprise that a video uploaded on Feb. 9 features a delectable dish based on the latest Marvel movie Deadpool.
Named "the Deadpool Pepperoni Pizza," Pansino's recipe puts a fun spin on traditional toppings by using olives, cheese and (duh) pepperoni to reconstruct a likeness of the Merc with a Mouth's mask. Why a pizza? As Pansino points out in her video, the Feb. 9 release of the Ryan Reynolds vehicle fell only a few days short from National Pizza Day on Feb. 12 — and the rest is pretty obvious from there.
While the recipe itself is pretty straightforward and low-maintenance — Pansino opts for sauce from a jar instead of homemade, even though the crust is from scratch — there's no denying that the Deadpool pepperoni pie looks absolutely delicious. Better yet, now, you'll know exactly what to make and eat for the first time you watch Deadpool at home after its DVD release, or even when a new Deadpool rolls out in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (whether it's a viewing party or not is your decision, but in true Deadpool form, this might be the type of pizza you want to hoard for yourself).
