Before Director Tim Miller Tackled 'Deadpool,' He Helped Bring 'Batman: Arkham Origins' To Life

Believe it or not, Deadpool will mark the feature film debut of Tim Miller. So far, the film is receiving positive reviews, with a "certified fresh" rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Not too bad for Miller's first time directing a major film, but just because it was his first movie doesn't mean he hasn't had plenty of practice directing other projects. As one of the co-founders of Blur Studios, Miller and his company have been involved in bringing to life the cinematic cutscenes for numerous video games over the years, ranging from Halo to Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Some of those projects just so happen to be DC Comics-related. Remember the amazing cinematic trailers for Batman: Arkham Origins and Batman: Arkham Knight? Turns out Miller himself directed the incredibly cool cinematic for Batman: Arkham Origins, which depicts a duel between the Caped Crusader and one-eyed mercenary Deathstroke. Plenty of Miller's style seeps through, as the two hardened warriors go toe-to-toe in a fast-paced fight in a docking yard that is well worth watching.

It's all strangely fitting, considering Deadpool himself began as Marvel's own version of Deathstroke. Now, Miller has worked with both characters, but we have a feeling he might prefer the red and black merc with a mouth to the orange and black of Slade Wilson. Deathstroke might soon be getting his own moment in the spotlight, as rumor has it he will appear in the upcoming Sucide Squad film.

This isn't the first time Miller has worked on a Marvel property, either. He also directed the opening sequence for Thor: The Dark World (the one showing an epic battle between the Asgardians and the Dark Elves). Before that, he directed the opening sequence for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Looks like Miller was a perfect fit for Deadpool, and given his previous track record, we can't wait to see what he does next.
