So This Is How The Civil War Really Starts: Deadpool Chooses Captain America Over Iron Man

Everyone knows "Deadpool" received a lot of praises since its release on Feb. 12 but Deadpool may just have found a fan in the unlikeliest of heroes: Captain America. On Feb. 20, Chris Evans, who plays the upstanding all-American hero gave a shout out to Ryan Reynolds on Twitter congratulating him on how awesome "Deadpool" turned out.

Reynolds was quick to answer with #TeamCap, a reference to the upcoming Marvel film "Captain America: Civil War" where the heroes will be split between Captain America's side and Iron Man's side, depending on their stance regarding the Superhuman Registration Act.

Of course, being the resident genius, billionaire, playboy, philantrophist Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man and leader of the opposing team, Robert Downey, Jr. chimed in Julius Caesar style but gave Deadpool another chance for when the Captain kicks him out of the team for his incessant cussing.

Evans was quick to point out that his favorite part of "Deadpool" was all the cussing but he also requested that neither Iron Man nor Deadpool reveal this to the Captain, producer Kevin Feige or his mother. Bad move, Captain. Now they both have dirt on you.

Deadpool quickly corrected Iron Man, however, and reminded the billionaire that he really cannot be trusted when it comes to choosing sides. He is, after all, a mercenary so he would most likely side with whoever pays him better. We all know who is swimming in money among all the superheroes of Marvel. Still, Deadpool admitted whose side he is really on and we are not even the least bit surprised with his choice.

Captain America may stand for loyalty, courage and friendship and Iron Man may support the government in an effort to redeem himself but no superhero wins over a cat. Deadpool is #TeamHelloKitty all the way.

"Captain America: Civil War" is coming to theaters on May 6.

Just to be clear: No, Deadpool is not in it.
