World Wrestling Entertainment and 2K games teamed up to hit pro-wrestling fans and gamers hard with the release of WWE 2K16 on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One last October.
Now, they plan on doing the same via the title's release for Windows PC.
On Wednesday, 2K announced the development of WWE 2K16 for the Windows PC platform, continuing with the title's "Raise Some Hell" campaign and overall theme put forth by WWE Hall of Famer and the game's cover subject, Stone Cold Steve Austin.
2K says the game will be made available for Windows PC on a worldwide scale on March 11 ... just in time for WWE's WrestleMania 32, the Grandest Stage of Them All, which will be held April 3 live from the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas in an event that could draw over 100,000 roaring fans.
The Windows PC version of WWE 2K16 will deliver the same in-game content, as seen with the title on platforms like PlayStation 3 and 4 and Xbox 360 and One. Like those platforms, this Windows PC title will also include the largest roster in WWE video games history from which to choose as playable characters, including two versions of Arnold Schwarzenegger via the T-800 from The Terminator and T-800 from Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
Gamers who purchase the title for PC will also be equipped with features such as MyPlayer Kickstart, allowing them to gain instant access to boost created Superstar ratings and attributes in MyCareer mode and the Accelerator, which will empower players to unlock in-game content.
They'll also receive a New Moves Pack, encompassing upwards of 30 new maneuvers, including the Corner Enzuigiri (used by Nikki Bella), Avalanche Ram (Paige), Sidewinder Suplex (Kevin Owens), Standing Crossface Chickenwing (Stardust) and Dragon Sleeper (Finn Bálor).
The extras don't stop there, either.
Gamers will also have access to the Legends Pack and Future Stars Pack, including some of the best past and future Superstars the WWE Universe has ever seen. Some of the playable Legends include former divas Trish Stratus and Lita in addition to the Big Boss Man, Dusty Rhodes, Mr. Perfect and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, all of whom have sadly passed away. Future Stars include a batch of NXT Superstars like Samoa Joe, Diego, Fernando and Blake and Murphy.
Along the line of Legends, though, the PC version of WWE 2K16 will even let gamers conduct a 2015 Hall of Fame Showcase with playable matches, pitting the likes of "Macho Man" Randy Savage up against Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Rikishi vs. the Rock and Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Ric Flair, just to name a few.
