Have you ever heard of a limited edition video game with a price in the millions? With Dying Light: The Following Spotlight Edition, you now have.
The game's developer Techland has forged a partnership with UK retailer GAME for the Spotlight Edition of Dying Light, a limited edition version of the horror game that is being sold at a price of $10 million.
What will gamers get for coughing up $10 million? In addition to getting four copies of the enhanced edition of Dying Light that are signed by the game's development team, the buyer will also be heavily involved in the movie for the video game.
A Dying Light movie has not been announced by Techland, and when video game website Gamespot asked for more details regarding it, a representative for the company declined to do so.
Perhaps the $10 million will help in financing the movie, and for anybody that can offer up the money, he or she would get a great deal out of it.
This is what else purchasing the Spotlight Edition of Dying Light includes, as stated in the offer's page:
A supporting role in the Dying Light: The Movie, specifically with action scenes and spoken lines
- Professional acting lessons from Roger Craig Smith, the current voice behind fellow horror video game franchise Resident Evil's Chris Redfield
- First-class accommodation and flights in the movie's screening tour
- A personal trailer on-set while shooting the scenes
- Stuntman or parkour training for the role, or a stunt double
- An off-road driving course that will allow the buyer to keep the car
- An original copy of the movie's script signed by the cast
- 10 VIP tickets for the opening night of the movie that can be given to family and friends
- An FX make-up session to teach how to transform into a zombie
- The role of the voice of Kyle Crane in a special edition of the video game
The Spotlight Edition is not the first time that GAME and Techland have teamed up though, as for the title's launch, a $380,000 version of Dying Light was offered which included parkour lessons and a zombie-proof shelter, perfect for any upcoming zombie apocalypses.
The Following, a major standalone DLC for Dying Light, was released last week for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Dying Light: The Following will be replacing the original title in physical retail outlets and digital stores.
