LG G5 Render Video Shows 5.6-Inch Quad HD Display And Dual Rear Cameras [Video]

LG will unveil its 2016 flagship smartphone at a press event on Feb. 21 to kick off Mobile World Congress 2016. A 3D render video of the LG G5 shows off its new design and a dual-camera setup on its rear.

Samsung and LG have seen their next-gen 2016 flagship smartphones leak on an almost daily basis leading up to their scheduled Feb. 21 event that will kick off Mobile World Congress 2016. We reported that a supposed internal Samsung presentation slide made its way online and compared its upcoming Galaxy S7 to that of its predecessors, Galaxy S6 and S5. It also provided a brief summary of the Galaxy S7's specs, which line up with previous reports.

LG has also seen its unannounced LG G5 make the rounds and lately a third-party case maker showed off its new case for the smartphone in addition to confirming some of the handset's notable features, which could be seen from cutouts in the case.

A new report and video from TechConfigurations shows a 3D rendering of the LG G5 the site created based on previous diagrams, images and other information. The video shows a smartphone with a 5.6-inch 2K display and the source claims the G5 will be longer and slightly thinner than the LG G4, measuring 149.4 x 73.9 x 8.2 mm (5.8 x 2.9 x 0.3 inches)

The site claims the LG G5 will ship with Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 820 processor, Adreno 530 GPU (graphics processing unit) and 4 GB of RAM. The volume rocker has moved from the rear of the G4 to the left side of the G5. It will reportedly include a unique 8-megapixel and 16-megapixel dual camera setup on its back with support for 4K video, OIS (optical image stabilization) and ability to change the field of focus after a user snaps a picture.

The video shows the LG G5's bottom panel will include a USB Type C port for charging and transferring data, speaker grill and microphone. The smartphone will use a standard 3.5mm headphone port, which is located on the handset's top panel.

The video shows no evidence of a microSD expansion slot or removable battery, as previous reports have shown. Take this video and report with a grain of salt for now, and we'll know the full details on Feb. 21.
