The Division's closed beta is officially underway, and with that, Ubisoft is now spilling details about the game's season pass.
Ubisoft says the season pass for the shooter/RPG/MMO hybrid will net players three major expansions: Underground, Survival and Last Stand. Underground will be coming first and will take players to New York's "uncharted underworld" for additional missions. While we know Underground is coming first, Ubisoft hasn't said exactly when. No concrete details on the other two expansions are available at this time, other than that Survival will have players trying to survive in a hostile environment and that Last Stand will be the game's final piece of major DLC.
In addition to scoring new areas for players to explore in the expansions, those who buy the game's season pass will also receive monthly updates with new outfits and weapon skins for player customization. Those who have bought the game's season pass will get immediate access to the sawed-off shotgun, new outfits and weapon skis on day one.
While there is plenty of paid content coming to The Division, free content will be coming to all players as well. Ubisoft says the free updates will revolve around new game modes that feature cooperative challenges that will reward squads that work well together.
Both the collector's and Gold Editions of The Division come with the game's season pass included. The Division is set to release on March 8 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
