New Handbags From Ivanka Trump Charge Phones For Women On The Go

Adopting technology has many benefits but it has one glaring disadvantage: you're always going to need juice to keep your devices running. Ivanka Trump kicks things up a notch for wearable tech by combining essentials for women on the go.

Trump's first foray into wearables began in December 2015 with the release of the Rio Tech Sleeve, a pouch that doubles as a wallet and houses a pocket for charging smartphones. She has since expanded her line to include chargeable handbags like the Soho Tote.

According to her, wearable tech makes a lot of sense for their customers.

"She's got a full life and plays many roles. The products are true multitaskers, much like the modern woman who works," said Trump.

As a travel wallet, the Rio Tech Sleeve can organize not just smartphones and credit cards and other essentials but also has room for a tablet, like the iPad mini. During the day, women can throw it into their work bags and then pull it out at night, used like a clutch during dinner afterwards.

Trump's Soho Totes, on the other hand, are definitely great for office use but they are just as convenient during days off. Use it for errands on Saturdays (paired with lace-up flats and a pair of ponté pants, suggests Trump) or even as a gym bag, and you are assured that your devices have enough power to last you through whatever you are doing.

"Our Rio Tech Pouch and quilted Soho Totes come with perfectly pocketed portable chargers-just use your trusty USB cord to plug your phone into our mighty mini battery pack, and be on your way," it said on Trump's website.

The pouches within the Soho Totes appear to be sized for iPhones (the iPhone 6 specifically), according to Kate Kravchenko, a customer who just received her bag, so fitting larger devices into the pockets may be a problem for some. However, both iOS and Android devices should be able to make use of the provided battery packs as customers can use their own charging cables.
