Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced the release of five new expansions packs for the console game LEGO Dimensions. The Wave 3 Level Pack, Team Pack and Fun Packs feature content from Ghostbusters, Doctor Who and DC Comics and include new buildable characters, gameplay, vehicles and gadgets.
Created by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Games, LEGO Dimensions is the interactive action-adventure toy-to-life console game that follows the same idea as Disney Infinity and Skylanders. Gamers can purchase packs that include characters from various different franchises, like The Lord of the Rings, The Simpsons and Jurassic World, which are added into the game with new DLC.
Gamers looking for more Ghostbusters beyond the starter pack can now get the new Level Pack that further opens the Ghostbusters world. The pack includes a Peter Venkman minifigure, Proton Pack, Ecto-1 (which can be transformed into the Ecto-1 Blaster and Ecto-1 Water Diver) and Ghost Trap (which can transform into the Ghost Stun 'n Trap and Proton Zapper) — all of which unlock new characters in areas in the level.
LEGO Dimensions released a trailer for the Ghostbuster Level Pack for the game, which showcases some famous characters in the movie that are part of "A Spook Central Adventure," where players go on a mission to fight Gozer and save New York City from Stay Puft.
The pack also allows users to unlock the Adventure World, where they can explore locations from the films and play as one of the four Ghostbusters.
Along with expansion pack for Ghostbusters, the other wave 3 pack features DC Comics, Doctor Who, Back to the Future and LEGO Ninjago content.
The DC Comics Team Pack brings the Joker and Harley Quinn into the Dimensions, whose abilities include the Grappler and Acrobat and Super Strength. These abilities can also unlock new areas in the main adventure and open worlds.
The wave 3 also features the Cyberman Fun Pack for new Doctor Who content, which includes a Cyberman minifigure who has the abilities of Mind Control, Hacking, X-Ray Vision and more, as well as the Doc Brown Fun Pack, which includes Back to the Future content including the Time Traveling Train and Doc Brown's abilities to use Hacking and Technology to solve puzzles. Lastly, the LEGO Ninjago Sensei Wu Fun Pack includes the new Sensei Wu minifigure and Flying White Dragon.
All the expansion packs allow LEGO Dimensions gamers to use the content anywhere in the game.
LEGO Dimensions is available for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii U.
