One of the most important factors to consider when purchasing a new game console is what bundle to get. Do you want Star Wars Battlefront or Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection? Fallout 4 or Gears of War: Ultimate Edition? And if there isn't a bundle that includes a game you're interested in playing? Well, you're just out of luck.
Microsoft has announced two new Xbox One bundles to ring in 2016, and one of them looks to fix the long running bundle dilemna. No longer do you have to buy a console bundle that includes a game you're not interested in. Instead, with Microsoft's new Xbox One 500GB "Name Your Game" bundle, you get to choose what goes with it.
For $349.99, gamers can choose from digital copies of Rare Replay, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Forza Motorsport 6 or Rise of the Tomb Raider. That's a lot of variety to choose from, ensuring buyers don't have to worry about scoring a free game in their bundle that they hate.
That's not the only new bundle, however. Thanks to a partnership with Ubisoft, those purchasing an Xbox One can also opt for the 1TB Rainbow Six Siege bundle. That bundle comes with the recently released Rainbow Six Siege as well as Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2, which both work on Xbox One thanks to the console's newfound Xbox 360 backwards compatibility.
The Rainbow Six Siege bundle will be available for $399.99 starting mid January at participating retailers. The "Name Your Game" Bundle will start shipping to retailers in late January, according to Microsoft. Both bundles are currently available for pre-order on Amazon.
