SiriusXM introduced the new SiriusXM Commander Touch that integrates into a vehicle without having to replace the previously installed radio that comes equipped in cars at CES 2016 in Las Vegas on Monday.
SiriusXM Commander Touch allows listeners to play commercial-free music, sports talk shows and live events, news, and exclusive talk and entertainment shows directly from their car's in-dash audio system. The color display touchscreen can be mounted to just about anywhere in the car by anyone, or the consumer can opt to hire a professional installer to use the flush-mounting kit that is included to integrate SiriusXM Commander Touch to the car's dash. The system also comes with a hideaway tuner module suggested to be installed behind the dashboard.
SiriusXM Commander Touch allows the consumer to listen to SiriusXM through the vehicle's radio using the FM or AUX audio input. Users can take advantage of the Replay function that allows them to pause, rewind and replay up to 60 minutes of live satellite radio so they can hear their favorite songs over and over again during a long road trip. There is also a Tune Mix feature that plays a mix of songs from the listener's favorite stations, with the track's album art and channel logos displayed on the color screen.
Songs automatically pause when drivers make a stop for up to 30 minutes, such as when refueling or grabbing a bite, so that they can continue to hear their song where they left off when they return to the road.
Consumers can also update Commander Touch with new features as they roll out over time.
SiriusXM Commander Touch is available now at retail locations such as Best Buy and online at sites like www.shop.siriusxm.com for $129.99.
